At some point, I should probably upgrade from the kit lens. Since it’s unable to get a decent focus on the moon, I decided to try something different.

When the lunar eclipse rolled around this past December, I unpreparedly handheld my camera, pointed it upwards, and took the shot. On this clear night while walking the dogs, I noticed Orion right underneath the moon. So I went back inside, grabbed my camera and tripod (that I wish I had during the eclipse), and took this shot.
